Word Family Resources for the Textbook
This section was created to give students and teachers access to charts that can be used as tools in studying and/or teaching the word families of the vocabulary in Schmitt & Schmitt's (2005) textbook. In the word documents found at the bottom of this page you will find word family lists that correspond to the chapters of textbook. Research indicates that it is not wise or feasible to teach every form of a vocabulary word. Therefore, these charts do not include every variation of the chapter's target words. Nevertheless, they provide students with an organized method of studying word families and can easily be adapted to suit the needs of the teacher. As this page is under construction, there are currently only 12 of 28 chapters given. Below in the Scribd is an example list of chapter one.
